I n 1965, Col. Fred Seifert, a Jamaica philatelist, visited Jamaica to research Jamaica Government Railway mail practices.   During his visit to the Railway administrative offices in Kingston, he persuaded department personnel to cancel a few covers with various Jamaica Railway departmental datestamps.   Although these covers are addressed to his residence in the U.S.A., there is no evidence that any of them were actually mailed.   No markings or datestamps appear on the reverse.

Fred gave these covers to Bob Swarbrick, a prominent Jamaica philatelist in the U.K.   Bob passed these covers on to me in 2006.
