amaica Government Railway stations could send inland mail postage free if it related to official business.
Mail originating from stations would occasionally be datestamped on the reverse with the station's datestamp.
Two examples of such mail are shown below.

Locally addressed O.H.M.S. cover dated Nov. 2, 1910 bearing Catadupa railway datestamp on reverse and Kingston double ring cds arrival.
Official Jamaica Railway cover to Mandeville dated April 24, 1947 with a Williamsfield railway datestamp to indicate its origin. T.P.O. datestamp of April 25 at top and Mandeville arrival datestamp of same date on reverse. The Jamaica Railway continued to handle its own official mail after the railway station postal system was eliminated on Dec. 31, 1924.
